Position Title: Finance Manager

STELOP Pte Ltd, the electro-optics arm of ST Engineering Electronics, is a leading EO application solutions provider in the local and regional markets. STELOP’s technical capabilities in EO technologies are used in applications such as thermal imaging, long-range surveillance, range finders, thermal vision for Infra-Red Fever Screening system and smart surveillance system for key installations as well as coastal surveillance.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Finance Manager and Business Partner to the executive management team in the business unit. The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day finance support activities as well as provide financial advice that will enable the management team to make informed strategic business decisions.
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Reviewing work done by a team of finance staff (shared services)
  • Handling operational issues such as cash flow management, risk management and tax matters, and producing statutory accounts/reports
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, group financial and treasury policies
  • Project expenses tracking, cash flow monitoring and forecast preparation
  • Up keeping of good internal control system and corporate governance and continuously seeking process improvements to achieve cost savings
  • Liaising with internal, external auditors and tax agents
  • Providing financial advice and proactive support to the management and business operations
  • Other ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned
 
Requirements:
 
The candidate should possess the following qualities: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or other professional accounting qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant/CPA will be an advantage
  • At least 8 years (with at least 2 years in managerial capacity) of Financial Accounting and Business Controlling experience in manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with ERP systems and their implementation will be an advantage
  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards and relevant statutory requirements
  • Hands-on approach in managing work assigned
  • An analytical mind
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • A keen eye for details
  • Ability to manage independently and within tight timelines
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage co-workers from various departments/levels
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong in Excel
