Job Description:


  • Project coordination
  • Equipment installation & setup and system testing for supervisory control system projects
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure problems and take appropriate corrective action


Infrastructure   Deployment

  • Prepare   the site location in ensuring that necessary infrastructure is in place
  • Test on   site systems' performance and capacity to support requirements
  • Conduct   basic impact analysis of new infrastructure deployment or removal
  • Deploy   and decommission infrastructure components and associated equipment in   accordance to a set plan and safety and quality procedures
  • Conduct   systems' functional tests to check for performance
  • Document   malfunctions in infrastructure components, and their corrections deployed
  • Resolve   simple to semi complex systems' level problems and associated equipment using   appropriate tools
  • Implement   solutions to correct infrastructure related problems or equipment   malfunctions
  • Identify   and analyse network security threats and vulnerabilities


Infrastructure   Performance

  • Monitor   systems' performance and highlight areas for further review to optimize   overall infrastructure performance
  • Assess   and take appropriate action to isolate or minimize the systems downtime or   failures
  • Determine   the system, software updates and maintenance information to be rolled out
  • Developed   required communication material for information sharing

Infrastructure   Support

  • Analyse   incidents or technical issues that impact infrastructure operations
  • Conduct troubleshooting   for infrastructure and network problems of low to mid-level complexity
  • Resolve   technical issues or problems for end users within a defined turnaround time
  • Execute   routine tasks related to the administration, configuration and support of infrastructure,   in line with broad guidelines
  • Apply   guidelines and processes from an action plan to carry out activities outlined   in infrastructure upgrade plan
  • Identify   warning indicators or significant declines in system and network performance   following the roll out of upgrades or updates

Infrastructure   Problem and Service Level Management

  • Develop   guidelines and methods for prioritisation and categorisation of problems   according to their severity, frequency or potential implications
  • Deploy   quality management infrastructure and ensure organisation understanding of   systems, processes and tools
  • Implement   actions for service recovery or improvement of service levels

Generic   Skills and Competencies - Teamwork

  • Contribute   to a positive and cooperative working environment by fulfilling own   responsibilities and providing support to co-workers to achieve team goals

Duration: 9 months



  • Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

This position is for both recent graduates and mid career individuals. Graduates interested in this position should possess a Poly Diploma Qualification. Mid career individuals from any qualification level can apply.
