Position Title: Manager, Finance (FP&A - Payar Lebar)

The individual will be a Business Partner and the finance head of an entity/ line-of-business. (S)he will have a direct reporting line to Aerospace Sector Group Financial Controller, and an indirect reporting line to the entity’s (S)Vice President/General Manager. The individual’s main role would be his/her (S)VP/ GM’s financial counsel/ controller.
This position is responsible for managing the day to day functions of a Singapore entity/ line-of-business, including financial projection, budgeting fixed assets, finance governance, VAT and corporate taxes, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as reporting to Singapore parent company. This hands-on management position is responsible for the visions and goals along with day-to-day execution of these functions through rigorous compliance and continuous process improvement in business partnering and reporting.
Duties and responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of 3-5 accounting staff
  • Responsible for the full spectrum of the accounting functions, including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Inventory management. This includes coordinating accounting functions under shared services.
  • Treasury and cash flow management
  • Coordinate and work with the management team to derive 60-90days forecast, 3-5 years’ financial projections as well as a detailed Plan for the following year
  • Perform month end and year end closing, ensuring that statutory accounts, management reports and tax returns (Vietnam tax office) are submitted on an accurate and timely basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring timely submission of reporting package to Singapore office
  • Perform financial analysis on past and forecast data so as to understand the root cause of major fluctuations
  • Develop, review and enhance internal controls, policies and procedures
  • Liaising with auditors, tax advisors, payroll agency, bankers and other regulatory bodies in Vietnam to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned by Group Financial Controller or Vice President/ General Manager
Education and Experience
  • At least 5 years working experience in similar capacity
  • Minimum Accounting/ Finance Bachelor degree or similar qualification
  • Proficiency in IFRS
  • SAP and Hyperion experience is preferred
  • Advanced Excel and strong PPT skills added advantage
