Position Title: Assistant Manager - Leasing and Portfolio Management

Job Description:
  • Aviation Leasing Deals
    • Generate financial models for pricing, forecasting maintenance events and debt financing schedules. 
    • Assist to prepare proposals, terms sheets and letters of intent for asset lease and acquisition transactions.
    • Analyse transaction opportunities and make recommendations to the management team.
    • Assist to prepare accurate financial analysis of proposals and summarise deal terms for management approval.
    • Assist with portfolio pipeline planning and management of pipeline status updates
    • Supports Transactions department on transactions process for asset acquisition, new lease, lease extensions, lease amendments and sale transactions
  • Asset Backed Securitization (ABS)
    • Working closely with Managing Agent, to:
      • Maintain portfolio models of assets in ABS managed by the company.
      • To monitor, evaluate and forecast performance for the purposes of optimizing results.
      • Review and analyse cashflow schedules to be prepared by Managing Agent
      • Oversee monthly noteholder reports, rating agency reports and any other reporting requirements as needed
      • Monitor transaction performance, update and review transaction risks (changes in concentrations, performance relative to triggers, compliance with covenants, etc
    • Preparation of internal memo for reviews with management before reports are issued to investors
    • Supporting investor relations activities
    • Supporting regular and ad-hoc ABS Issuer Board Meetings
    • Other support duties or assignments as required in the ABS.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Portfolio monitoring of existing fleet of aircraft and engines
    • Assist in the implementation and/or enhancement of portfolio management tools and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness of managing the fleet.
    • Supporting Risk Management Department on asset level/ fleet level risk metrics
    • Supporting management reporting on fleet status and performance, business plans and projections.
  • Financing
    • Seek most optimal financing terms and structure for leasing deals through effective interactions with financiers
    • Supports Transactions department on transactions process for financing documentation.
Job Requirements:
  • BA degree preferred in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Accounting, with at least 4 years work experience
  • Accounting / Audit / Investment management experience a plus
  • Experience in asset backed securities / investment trusts will be advantageous
  • CFA Preferred or on track to earning CFA designation
  • Strong quantitative and modelling skills
