Position Title: VP, Internal Communications Lead

The candidate will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, positions and organisation structures. The key responsibility of this position will be creating and implementing change management communications strategies and plans that are effectively deliver into the business areas, and maximise employee adoption and minimise resistance.  

The candidate will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. These improvements will increase benefit realisation, value creation and the achievement of results and outcomes.
   
Key responsibilities and roles:  
 
Provide guidance to senior management on the manner in which messages and key themes are communicated to ensure consistency and clarity. 

Lead on the improvement and development of a range of communication channels, including the implementation, regular use and championing of an internal communications platform, ensuring it is fully embedded into daily working life and it provides an effective two-way flow of information with employees.  

Develop innovative strategies to deliver effective and engaging internal communications to the workforce across business sectors.  

Amplify “One ST Engineering” spirit and other and other core themes that reinforce the Group’s thinking and culture.  

Serve as centre of gravity across functions and departments, ensuring consistency and standards for communications reaching internal audiences. 

Create compelling content and campaigns, delivered across a variety of channels (including live events, digital, print, etc.) 

Proactively identify new opportunities and develop programmes to continually uplevel our internal communications initiatives.  

Establish clear processes, deploy best practices and contribute effectively to key integrated communications programmes championed by the Corporate Communications team for the Group. 

Work collaboratively with Strategy, Marketing, HR teams to ensure joined up internal and external communication themes. 

Such other activities as may be required to fulfil your responsibilities. 
 
Requirements : 
Minimum 15 years progressively responsible experience in a senior manager / VP role within a large, complex and matrix organisation. 

Minimum (5) five years of experience in Employees Communications or Internal Communications, with a track record in driving and delivering change management communications.  

Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. 
 
Ability to create and deliver high-impact communications (written and oral) and facilitate complex discussions. 

Ability to think strategically, have a passion for innovation and progress. 

An individual who has the confidence and influence to deal decisively and persuasively with people at all levels.   

Highly credible with senior management, you are a committed and motivated people leader and you value team work and collaboration.  

Comfortable working with digital content creation and delivery. 

Experience in other related areas such as HR & Talent Management, Learning & Development or Human Capital & Organisation Effectiveness (e.g. Organisation Design, Culture Transformation, Leadership Effectiveness etc) is highly desirable.
