Position Title: Senior Engineer (Marine Systems Design)

Roles & Responsibilities 
  • Prepare 3D Modelling of Machinery, Pipe and Ducts for production information.
  • Prepare technical specifications for equipment and material procurement and perform technical evaluation of vendor’s bid.
  • Prepare Bill of Material for Approval, Working and As-Built.
  • Arrange for Material Take Off of equipment, mechanical component and instrumentation.
  • Prepare and review machinery layout arrangement.
  • Manage and check detail design of external design consultants.
  • Manage and check technical information of external suppliers of equipment and systems and coordinate/cooperate with engineers from other trades in the organization.
  • To check drawings/documents and material list and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specifications, installation control documents, Classification and Statutory Rules/Regulations.
  • Liaise with ship owners and surveyors.
  • To control and monitor the creation of part number and description of material/item.
  • To ensure equipment specification, installation control document and interface design specification are properly maintained, disseminated and use for preparation of design activities.
  • Point of contact with production to provide design and engineering solutions onsite.
  • Participate in tests and trials, where required.
  • To advise Director on work progress/status and shortcomings on technical issues on project under his charge.

Requirements
  • 3 -5 years’ experience in engineering design in Marine/Offshore/Oil & Gas industry
  • Good knowledge of international design codes, Classification/ Statutory Rules and Regulations.
  • AutoCAD knowledge is required.
  • Qualifications in Engineering, (e.g. in mechanical, piping systems)
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP

  • 5 days work week
  • Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
