Position Title: Application Engineer - Ref: RASB/LA/ALS2

The Application Engineer shall provide technical support to the Sales team and customers.  They have to understand customer requirements, collaborate with technical engineers for design and development of leading edge designs and products to meet customer expectations.  They also have to provide marketing solutions for selling and marketing the newly designed technology products to various customers by providing different design options to them.  

Job Description:
  • Understand customers’ needs and propose automation solutions to meet those needs.
  • Develops and execute support plans as part of the customer engagement program
  • Lead test program development/conversion and productivity improvement projects based on customer’s requirement
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects
  • Ensure that all solution and proposals are delivered on-time, meeting customer specifications
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Manage the relationship with client and all stakeholders
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
Job Requirements:
  • Strong problem solving skills with some level of project management experience
  • Possess a customer-focus attitude and have experience in customer engagement
  • Self-driven attitude for continuous learning
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in deploying automation technology, especially warehouse and e-commence environment will have added advantage
