Position Title: Cloud Business Consultant

You will work with customers to understand typical workloads and assess to determine which cloud solutions would best meet the customers’ needs and  make recommendations based on analysis; work out the modernization strategy and approach to support customers digital transformation journey. You will also need to implement the selected cloud systems and may be responsible for customization, well versed in both existing cloud products/solutions and cloud native applications.

  • Translating customer requirements into a feasible technical design that can be delivered and supported within the overall cloud business solution and extended ICT capability of ST Engineering.
  • Ensuring that once opportunities are accepted that they are progressed, and sales receive maximum support.
  • Creation of references document customer requirements in terms of service support, SLAs, availability and other objectives.
  • Building business case of the designed customer solutions using standard pricing tools where possible and working with the technical team to construct any value added services.
  • Managing account relationships at every level using all means and resources to do so, such as an Engagement model, Account planning and Strategy.
    • Present ST Engineering especially cloud business solutions proposition professionally with customer relevance to prospects
    • Attain and maintain a good high level understanding of all products and how they can benefit a customer at a business requirements level
    • Understand key competitors and their strengths and weaknesses
    • Maintain a high level conversational knowledge of key market trends and developments
    • Attain and maintain a high level of product knowledge on STE’s Advanced Solutions portfolio
    • Identify and build a key base of target prospects
    • Build and manage an accurate pipeline
    • Provide regular accurate forecasting
    • Plan, detail and maintain account/prospect plans & strategies
    • Work to achieve sustainable cloud business
  • Appropriately qualified, together with technical engineers and architects as an opportunity that fits the cloud business services and products portfolio.
  • Work with the teams including legal and pricing to ensure a commercially viable solution is sold with acceptable risk
  • Work with solutions, professional services and bid management to ensure high quality bid responses are submitted
  • Experience required sales experience within a system integrator, consulting, Hosting Service Provider or IT service provider
  • Strong communication skills that can present solutions and translate problems into solutions and features into business benefits.
  • A highly proactive self-starter attitude is desired as the candidate needs appropriate gravitas and credibility to drive the organization to support and deliver competitive, technically viable solutions to the customer.
  • Ideally the candidate will be someone who have worked with and to recognized sales discipline’, methodologies.
  • Demonstrable sales success in a Cloud Service Provider or Hosting Provider, preferably an International player
  • Demonstrable success in selling cloud & hosting services to multinationals and the private sector
  • Demonstrable success in working with solutions and bid teams closing deals with multi-million contract values.
  • Experience acting in leading and working with bid teams on major opportunities
  • Experience of running successful and productive meetings at C level with effective follow up and outcomes
  • Effective negotiator, taking into account trade-offs of margin, commercial and operational risk to close the gap and win the deal
  • Understanding of margins, costs and what makes a good deal financially
  • Leadership competency and drive revenue growth and sustainable business to large accounts for Cloud Business Manager/Director.
  • A university degree in Economics, Marketing or Business Administration or has proven experience to be able to understand and apply complex products and services to a highly demanding market such as Enterprise.
  • Additional qualifications include strategic insight, project management, analytical problem solving, customer/partner relationship building, and exceptional product and technical expertise.
