Position Title: Corporate Communications (Content), Manager

Job Summary: 
As an integral part of ST Engineering Corporate Communications team, you will be responsible for media relations and content creation for internal and external audiences. You will use your skills and understanding in all aspects of PR covering traditional media, digital media, branding and marketing communications to drive the brand stories and strengthen the corporate and business profile of the Group.
 
As a team player, you will establish clear processes, deploy best practices and contribute effectively to integrated communications programmes by the Corporate Communications team. You will be expected to acquire deep knowledge of the Group, including our key technologies and capabilities, in order to create compelling and effective content.  
 
Key roles and responsibilities.  Other duties may be assigned.
 
Media Relations
  • Seek opportunities to maximise positive exposure for the Group, sector business and its leadership.
  • Execute strategic media relations plans including pitching stories and features to drive earned media coverage.
  • Develop PR content and deliverables (key messages, talking points, media pitches, news releases, bios, fact sheet, etc.)
  • Develop good working relationships with target business and trade journalists, and maintain media lists.
 
Content Creation
  • Support in preparing presentations, speeches and communications for key executives.
  • Work with the digital communications team to execute sector business social media plans.
  • Proactively source and curate stories for external and internal audiences.
  • Develop Group and sector business content for websites and the intranet. Ensure timely updates on both platforms.
  • Work with the sector marketing teams on marketing collaterals, and publicity/booth contents to support marketing efforts at tradeshows and events.

Qualification requirements:
 
Education, experience, training: 
University degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in B2B and tech, engineering or aerospace industries.
 
This role requires the individual to be self-motivated, meticulous, challenging the status quo and seeking new and better ways of communicating both internally and externally.  Your other strengths are excellent written and communication skills, being resourceful and a strong ability to juggle a variety of projects. You are passionate about innovation and progress, and you have a drive for results. Those with more experience will be considered for a Manager role.

4. Language Proficiency – possess a strong command of English and have the ability to write well and tell compelling stories through a variety of styles and media. Ability to adapt communication style and tone of voice depending on target audience and channel. 

5. A keen understanding of media and the news cycle with proven success achieving earned media coverage. 

6. Knowledge of storytelling and digital media such as website, intranet and social media. 

​7. A keen interest in smart technologies will be advantageous in this role.
